Overview
TalkTG is a website live chat service that uses Telegram as the support inbox. Visitor messages are forwarded to a connected Telegram bot, and replies sent from Telegram appear in the website chat without requiring a separate agent application.
The widget loads asynchronously and uses Shadow DOM to isolate its interface from a site's existing styles. Visitor identity is stored locally so returning users can continue the same conversation.
Key Features
- Delivers website messages directly to Telegram
- Returns agent replies to visitors through polling every three seconds
- Supports multiple websites with separate widgets and bots
- Allows customization of color, position, greeting, agent name, and offline text
- Validates domains and encrypts bot tokens at rest
- Provides an AI knowledge base on paid plans for automated answers and human handoff
Visitors can still leave messages while the connected bot is offline. TalkTG queues later replies for the visitor, while image messages, analytics, and branding removal are available on selected paid plans.
Setup
Create a site in TalkTG and register its domain, then create a Telegram bot and bind its token to that site. After activating the bot in Telegram, place the generated widget script near the end of the website body.
Integration guidance covers basic HTML, Next.js or React, Vue or Nuxt, WordPress, Shopify, and Wix. Each site receives a unique site ID, and the asynchronous script avoids blocking page rendering.
Plans
The Free plan costs $0 per month and includes one website, 5,000 monthly messages, and seven days of history. The Pro plan costs $9 per month for three websites, unlimited messages and history, a knowledge base, image messages, analytics, and optional branding removal.
The Team plan costs $29 per month and supports ten websites with unlimited messages and history. It also includes the knowledge base, branding removal, and analytics dashboard.
Privacy and Operation
TalkTG sends widget traffic over HTTPS and restricts widget embedding through domain validation. Telegram bot tokens are encrypted when stored.
The service passes messages between the embedded widget, TalkTG's server, and the linked Telegram chat. This design lets site owners answer from Telegram while visitors remain in the website interface.
