Overview
UserAlertX is an API-first SMS and email alert service for AI agents, bots, scripts, and automations. It is designed around a single recipient: the account owner who verifies both an email address and a mobile number.
An automation can send an alert with one HTTP POST and cannot use the account to message a different phone number. The service uses a registered 10DLC number and includes carrier keyword handling.
Key Features
- Sends alerts through a simple HTTP API without requiring an SDK.
- Supports SMS and email through one interface.
- Enforces email and SMS double opt-in for the account owner.
- Handles START, STOP, HELP, pause, spam reporting, and switching to email by text reply.
- Shows delivery status on a recent-alerts page.
- Holds the first message until opt-in is complete, then releases it automatically.
Carrier-restricted topics are checked before SMS delivery. When a message falls into a restricted category, the complete alert is delivered by email and the phone receives a short notice.
How It Works
The account owner signs up and verifies an email address and mobile number. Once both are confirmed, an AI agent or automation sends requests to the service, and alerts are delivered to that verified owner. Requests targeting another phone number are rejected.
A test-message box is also available on the account screen after verification. Phone-number changes require support once a number has been verified; an unverified number can be changed up to three times.
Pricing
The trial includes 50 free alerts or 30 days after account confirmation, whichever comes first, with no card required to begin. The monthly plan costs $5 and includes 50 tokens each month, while the annual option costs $60 for 13 months and includes 50 tokens monthly; the annual payment does not renew automatically.
One text uses one token and one email uses 0.1 token. Additional tokens can be purchased, do not expire, and may be configured for automatic reload, while unused tokens included with a monthly allocation do not roll over.
