Introduction

Overview

Offrun brings multiple coding-agent CLIs into one macOS workspace while letting developers keep their existing agent accounts and subscriptions. Each conversation lives alongside project context, file previews, and the changes produced by the agent.

The app runs agent CLIs locally and sends prompts and code directly to the selected provider under the user's own login. Offrun states that it does not handle provider keys or keep a server-side copy of project data.

Key Features

  • Isolated git worktrees give every agent a separate folder, allowing concurrent tasks in one repository without agents editing the same working files.
  • Peer review lets a second selected agent inspect an uncommitted diff and return findings inside the conversation without changing or merging code.
  • Project memory stores repository conventions, plans, and recorded dead ends as plain files in the project folder.
  • Built-in previews show changed files, line-numbered diffs, rendered documents, images, PDFs, and browser content beside the related conversation.
  • Multiple logins can be connected so a conversation can move to another available account after a usage limit is reached.
  • On-device dictation transcribes speech locally and can learn project-specific spellings for identifiers.

How It Works

After installing Offrun, users connect supported agents in Settings, choose a project, and assign a task. The current list includes Claude Code, Codex, AGY, and Grok Build, while Pi and OpenCode are described as upcoming.

Chats, memory, and worktrees remain in folders inside the repository. Developers decide when and how to merge work; the app does not merge agent changes automatically.

Privacy and Requirements

Dictation stays on the Mac, with no recording retained or uploaded. Code sent to an AI provider follows the user's own provider connection, while local workspace data remains in the repository.

Offrun requires an Apple Silicon Mac running macOS 14 Sonoma or later and at least one already-available agent CLI.

Pricing

Offrun is presented as free, with unlimited agents, projects, connected coding-agent accounts, monitoring, reviews, and on-device dictation. Users bring their own agent subscriptions rather than purchasing a separate agent subscription through Offrun.
