Overview
Neuronto is a federated Agentic Resource Discovery registry that helps AI clients find callable tools and services. A single query searches its catalogue and other public ARD registries, then merges the rankings into one result set.
ARD serves as a discovery layer rather than a runtime. It identifies resources relevant to a task, while the client connects to each resource through its own protocol.
Key Capabilities
The index covers several kinds of agentic resources:
- MCP servers that expose tools to agents
- Skills and agent skill bundles
- APIs described by OpenAPI documents
- A2A agents with published agent cards
- Workflows, plugins, documentation, and nested catalogues
Entries retain details such as endpoints, descriptions, representative queries, and the sources carrying each resource. Neuronto also reports whether indexed resources respond, and it offers browser-based access and an API without requiring a key for standard use.
How Federated Discovery Works
Publishers describe their resources in an ARD manifest hosted on their own domain. Registries crawl these manifests and make them searchable without requiring marketplace approval.
With federation enabled, a registry queries peers, combines their result sets, and returns one ranked answer. This shifts tool selection out of an agent's context window and avoids requiring every possible integration to be hard-coded in advance.
Intended Users
Neuronto is designed for agent builders who need task-specific capabilities, vendors that want their APIs or tools to be discoverable, and platform teams operating discovery across internal services. Its public index aggregates public ARD registries, the official MCP Registry, community aggregators, and crawled discovery manifests.
The project also publishes the registry components as open source, including indexing, crawling, search, federation, submissions, conformance tooling, feeds, and SDKs. Analytics, multi-step discovery, and service tiers are separate from that open-source registry layer.
Pricing and Allowances
Search, publishing, the console, data feeds, and the API are available free without a key. Free access includes federated search and defined hourly allowances for submissions and audits. Domain verification through DNS provides a key with higher allowances, longer ranking history, and search requests that are not logged.
Usage beyond free allowances can be paid with prepaid credits. Additional offerings include publisher monitoring for a monthly credit charge, higher Pro allowances for qualifying balances, and separately priced private indexes for an organization's internal services. Listing position is not sold, and the registry does not offer sponsored placement or paid ranking badges.
