Introduction

Overview

Edi Life OS brings personal planning and tracking into one self-hosted dashboard. It connects everyday activity such as habits, tasks, focus sessions, and spending with longer-term goals, while keeping the data on a user-controlled PHP and MySQL host.

Its ten workspaces share a single design, sign-in, and database. Information also moves between areas: habit activity can drive goal progress, Kanban due dates appear in the calendar, and the Overview combines multiple signals into a daily productivity score.

Core Workspaces

  • Overview summarizes productivity, focus and habit trends, goals, finances, weather, and upcoming activity.
  • Growth organizes six life dimensions alongside long-term goals, SMART goals, habits, tasks, and recurring reviews.
  • Focus provides Pomodoro-style sessions, short and long breaks, session history, and a built-in soundtrack.
  • Habittify tracks daily completion, streaks, monthly progress, and recent consistency.
  • Kanban supports draggable cards and lists with priorities, labels, dates, checklists, comments, and attachments.
  • Calendar brings together due cards and financial obligations in month and schedule views.

Goals, Money, and Notes

Goals can include measures, deadlines, priorities, and checklists, or derive progress from an associated habit. Finance tools record expenses, income, budgets, debts, credits, and recurring or one-time obligations in Toman.

For personal knowledge, the system includes Markdown notes with preview and export, plus customizable sticky notes that can be connected to one another. Dates follow the Asia/Tehran time zone, while the weather panel displays Qeshm Island conditions and a modeled tide estimate that is not intended for navigation.

AI Assistance

An optional built-in MCP server exposes 26 tools spanning the dashboard, goals, tasks, habits, finances, and notes. Compatible AI assistants can use these tools to read dashboard information, help plan goals, record habits, and track expenses.

Hosting and Ownership

Edi Life OS is designed to run on PHP and MySQL infrastructure, including shared hosting. It is presented as a private, self-hosted system without subscriptions, tracking, or vendor lock-in, giving users control over the application and its stored data.
