Overview
devBoard is a deliberately streamlined project tracker for small development teams and freelancers. Its native apps focus on daily work, release blockers, and time records rather than portfolios, automation builders, custom-field designers, or numerous view types.
The product supports shared team workspaces as well as separate workspaces for freelancers managing multiple clients. It is designed to open quickly and continue working when the network is unavailable.
Key Features
- Readable boards with compact cards, project labels, and restart-safe optimistic dragging
- Epic, task, and subtask work levels, plus dedicated releases and labels
- Timers attached to work items, comments, and an automatically recorded activity feed
- A My Work view organized into Overdue, Today, This week, Later, and No date buckets
- Saved filters shared across board and list views
- Realtime updates that synchronize moves between users and catch up after disconnection
Keyboard and AI Workflows
The desktop application is designed for end-to-end keyboard use through a command palette, bare-key shortcuts, and an accessible shortcut reference. It also preserves window size and position between sessions, while macOS includes a native menu bar.
devBoard also operates as an MCP server for Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, and Claude Desktop. Connected assistants can read and search work items, create or edit tickets, post comments, move cards, and track time using the permissions of the user within one workspace.
Platforms and Pricing
Native apps are currently available through the App Store for macOS and iOS and through Google Play for Android. Windows and Linux packages are planned, while a web version is intentionally not offered.
Pricing has not yet been set. The publisher states that pricing will be announced before paid plans begin and is intended to use a single straightforward figure rather than a matrix of seat tiers.
