Overview
Free AI Wiper is a browser-based AI metadata remover for inspecting files and removing supported portable provenance. Processing happens on the device, so the service does not receive the selected file, filename, extracted metadata, or cleaned output.
The cleaner targets detectable signals such as Content Credentials, C2PA or JUMBF records, generator information, and selected private metadata. It checks the rebuilt file before making the cleaned version available.
Key Features
- Inspects supported provenance before changing the file.
- Removes selected portable AI information and optional private metadata.
- Verifies the rebuilt output through a second inspection.
- Leaves the original file unchanged and performs no upload.
- Preserves encoded image or audio data for supported formats without recompression.
Supported File Types
The image cleaner supports JPEG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, HEIC, BMP, GIF, and TIFF. Document support includes PDF, DOCX, PPTX, XLSX, HTML, SVG, and Markdown, with handling for supported properties, embedded image metadata, XMP, and markup provenance.
MP4, MOV, and M4V video can be cleaned without re-encoding. Supported audio includes WAV, MP3, FLAC, and M4A, while pasted text and UTF-8 text files can be inspected for supported hidden Unicode characters.
What a Clean Result Means
A verified clean result means the supported portable signals were not found after processing. It does not prove that a file was created by a person, and it does not guarantee that a social platform will remove an AI label because platforms may also use their own detection systems or creator disclosures.
For audio, metadata cleanup does not detect or remove watermarks embedded in the sound. For images, the tool removes container metadata while preserving the encoded visual payload rather than recompressing the pixels.
