Overview
Eliza Research builds products at the intersection of artificial intelligence and people, with an emphasis on software that can act for users and remain under their control. Its work includes Eliza, a personal AI agent built on the open-source elizaOS, and slop.cash, a platform for coordinating contributions to large problems.
Together, these products explore personal agency and collaborative computation rather than offering a single-purpose assistant.
Eliza Personal Agent
Eliza is designed as an agent that lives alongside its user and acts on their behalf across owned devices. Its supported capabilities include remembering information, managing schedules, and connecting with the user’s tools.
The underlying elizaOS is a fully open-source operating system for agents. It is described as auditable and extensible, and users can run it in environments ranging from laptops and phones to their own hardware.
Swarm Contribution Platform
slop.cash focuses on problems that may be too large for one machine or team. It lets participants post and fund a problem, then coordinates a swarm of human and machine contributors who can earn rewards by advancing it.
The platform measures contributions and opens participation to people or systems with computing capacity to contribute. This model is intended to align distributed work and incentives around shared challenges.
Open and User-Controlled Infrastructure
Eliza Research frames agency as software that answers to its users and can belong to everyone. Open-source infrastructure and the ability to run elizaOS on user-selected hardware support inspection, customization, and operational control rather than dependence on a single device environment.
