Overview
Cindy is an open-source AI agent designed to handle practical work in projects and applications with minimal initial configuration. It brings agent harnesses, models, tools, memory, and skills into one workspace while allowing the setup to be customized over time.
The software can use Cindy's managed service, an existing coding subscription, a user's API key, or local models. Files, code, and chat history remain on the user's computer by default rather than uploading the entire project to Cindy's cloud.
Key Features
- Claude Code, Codex, and Pi harnesses are supported, with model and harness switching available during a task.
- Workspace context, memory, skills, tools, and acceptance criteria persist as work passes between supported configurations.
- Multi-agent workflows can divide planning, parallel execution, and independent review among different workers.
- More than 20 tools and integrations cover local files, terminals, remote systems, collaboration services, MCP, skills, and voice.
- Isolated workspaces, line-by-line review, checkpoints, and approval prompts provide control over changes and sensitive actions.
Work Environments and Automation
Cindy can reuse local projects, applications, terminal environments, and signed-in browser sessions. It also supports remote work through SSH and servers, mobile progress checks and approvals, and task delegation from Slack or Feishu.
Scheduled tasks can run recurring work and report results through messaging services. Memory can preserve corrections across harnesses, while skills capture reusable working methods and MCP connects internal tools and systems.
Pricing
Cindy's software is free, and users can connect their own API keys or supported Coding Plans without consuming Cindy credit. Its optional managed model service offers Free, Plus, Super, and Ultra tiers, with usage cost displayed as tasks run.
Plus includes $20 in monthly usage credit, Super includes $100, and Ultra includes $200. Monthly subscriptions cost $16, $80, and $160 respectively, providing the same credit at a stated 20% discount; unused credit rolls over within tier-specific caps, while pay-as-you-go credit does not expire.
